Thursday, 19 June 2008

Bangladesh split points with hosts Singapore after making a one-all draw in their third Pool A match of the 3rd Men's AHF Cup Hockey at the Delta Sports Complex in Singapore Wednesday, reports UNB.

Skipper Masud Alam Habul put Bangladesh ahead in the first half while Singapore restored parity in the second half to snatch an important point from title aspirant Bangladesh.

Despite the day's frustrating draw, Bangladesh kept their top slot intact in the Pool A with unbeaten run securing seven points while hosts Singapore followed them with five points, both playing three matches each.

Bangladesh, which earned a comfortable 6-1 victory over Brunei Darussalam and 3-2 win over Chinese Taipei in the Pool A engagements, will meet Uzbekistan in the last group match today (Thursday) at 3 pm (BST) at same venue.
