Bangladesh maul UAE 6-0 in AFC U-16 Women\\\'s Qualifier

Bangladesh mauled the United Arab Emirates 6-0 in their 2nd group B match of the AFC U-16 Women's Championship Qualifiers at the Bangabandhu National Stadium in the city Friday, reports UNB.
This was the second victory of the Bangladesh U-16 Eves team on the trot after beating giant Jordan in the first match of the tournament.
In the second match, midfielder Sanjida Akhter made her maiden hat-trick in any international match scoring three goals in the 9th, 23rd and 43rd minutes. Bangladesh dominated the first half by 4-0 goals amid thunderous clapping from the audience in gallery.
Earlier, in the first match Wednesday, Sanjida scored the solitary goal against Jordan in penalty shot to seal the first win of the U-16Women's team.
In Friday's match, forward Bipasha Mali scored first for Bangladesh in the 6th minute with a cool finishing. Krishna Rani ran down the left flank and cut the ball back to Bipasha who saw side-footed shot enter the far post net. Bipasha scored one more goal in the 68th minute.
Krishna Rani netted her first and team's fourth goal in the 42nd minute with a long ranger from the right edge of the box.
Substitute forward Lipi also scored her first international and team's sixth goal in the injury time of the match.
In the remaining group matches, Bangladesh will face India on October
19 and Iran on October 23.
On the other hand, Iran maintained their winning run in the AFC U-16 Women's Championship Qualifiers beating India 2-1 in their 2nd group B match at the same venue.
Indian midfielder Premi Chiru scored first in the 13th minute to lead the first half 1-0.
Midfielder Anline Sharmila cut a through pass from the midfield and an onrushing Premi Chiru outran her marker to shot at goal. As the Iranian goalie Mobina Khodadad dived to block, the ball went out of her gloves into the net.
Iran immediately created pressure for an equaliser but their efforts eventually succeeded in the 71st minute when substitute midfielder Fatemeh Husseini displaying good footwork went past her marker and carried a square pass off Fatemeh Ghashemi to place the ball past Indian goalie Shreya (1-1).
Forward Fatemeh Ghasemi scored the match winner in the 88th minute. Skipper Fatemeh Geraeli floated a long ball from the midfield and unmarked Ghasemi slotted the ball into the far post net (2-1).
With the day's one goal, Fatemeh Ghasemi scored the tournament highest five goals till Friday. She also made the first hat-trick of the tournament scoring four goals in the opening match against UAE on Wednesday. In the opening match Iran crushed UAE 9-0.
