Bangladesh outplay Hong Kong

A wonderful bowling performance enabled Bangladesh women's cricket team to earn an eight-wicket victory over Hong Kong in the first match of the Eastern Bank Women Series at the Bir Shreshtho Ruhul Amin Stadium (BSRAS) in Chittagong Sunday, reports UNB.
Sent in to bat first, the visitors were bundled out for just 38 in 22.2 overs in the face of some fierce bowling by the hosts.
Skipper-cum-opener Neisha Pratt was the lone batsman to reach the double figure contributing 16 off 37 balls.
Home side skipper Salma claimed 4 wickets for 2 runs in 6.2 overs to be adjudged player of the match while Tithi Rani Sarker and Shamima Akhter bagged two wickets each.
In reply, the Bangladeshi eve players sailed to victory scoring the required 39 in 13.2 overs at the loss of two wickets.
Opener Sathira Zakir topscored 22 off 45 balls that featured three boundaries while Ayesha Akhter and Panna Ghosh remained unbeaten on 8 and 4 to have their side an outright win. Keenu Gill took the one wicket for Hong Kong giving away 4 runs.
The 2nd match of the series will also be held at the BSRAS while the 3rd and 4th matches will be held at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium (SBNS) on March 27 and 29 respectively.
