A sexagenarian Bangladeshi Hajj pilgrim passed away in the Holy city of Makkah in Saudi Arabia, said a bulletin on Bangladesh Hajj Management Portal on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Abdul Haque, 66, hailed from Noakhali’s Begumganjn Upazila. The state-run site, however, did not specify how he died. A total of 98,705 pilgrims from Bangladesh have left for Saudi Arabia to perform the Holy Hajj this year under both private and government stewardship, according to private TV channels.
