Bangladesh U-16 Women's Football team will play archrivals India in their second match of the four-nation SAFF U-16 Women's Championship'2024 today (Tuesday), reports UNB.
The vital match between neighbouring countries will kick off at 3:15 pm Bangladesh time today (Tuesday) at the ANFA Complex in Lalitpur, Nepal.
Ahead of today (Tuesday)'s vital match, the Bangladesh team made their practice session at the ANFA Complex Monday morning from 9 am to 11:30 am local time.
During the day's practice session, the head coach of Bangladesh team AKM Saiful Bari Titu said, "Tomorrow's match may be the dress rehearsal of the final as both teams have a good chance to play in the final."
"Our forward Prity is slightly injured, so, her inclusion in tomorrow's best eleven will be decided before the match," he added.
Earlier, Bangladesh made a good start, beating hosts Nepal by 2-0 goals, both scored by Sauravi Akhand Prity, on Saturday afternoon, while India made a flying start, crushing Bhutan by 7-0 goals in the tournament opener on Friday afternoon.
Hosts Nepal tasted their first victory in their second match, outplaying all losers Bhutan by 3-0 goals on Monday afternoon.
After the day's match, three teams-India, Bangladesh, and Nepal-have secured three points each, but in goal differences, India topped the list, Bangladesh in second, and Nepal in third.
In the remaining league match, Bangladesh will meet lowly Bhutan on March 8 at the same time and venue.
