Bangladesh post 8wkt win over Maldives in SA Games

Bangladesh notched an emphatic eight-wicket victory over Maldives in the South Asian Games T20 cricket at the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Stadium in the city Thursday, reports UNB.
Sent in to bat first, Maldives were dismissed cheaply for 26 runs in 15.5 overs in the face of fierce bowling by Bangladeshi bowlers.
Shuvashish Roy claimed four wickets for four runs while Sabbir Rahman and Nazmul Islam took two wickets each for 0 and 5 runs respectively.
In reply, Bangladesh easily reached the target scoring 30 runs in 2.2 overs for the loss of two wickets.
After the departure of Anamul Haque (4) and Mohammad Mithun (16), Ronny Talukder and Asif Ahmed led the hosts towards the victory with unbeaten 10 and 0 run respectively.
Jilwaz Rasheed took both wickets for 18 runs.
In another match, Pakistan (100/6 in 18 overs) registered a four-wicket win over Sri Lanka (99/6 in 18.4 overs)
