Bangladesh reaches semi of ACC Women's Cricket crushing S'pore

Bangladesh women's cricket team reached semifinal of the ACC Women's Cricket Tournament with one more match in hand as they crushed Singapore by 10 wickets to post their 2nd consecutive victory at the Johor Cricket Academy in Malaysia Friday, reports UNB.
Earlier on Wednesday, the Bangladeshi eves also made a flying start in their tournament opener as they devastated United Arab Emirates (UAE) also by 10 wickets at the Institute Perguruan Temenggong Ibrahim in Johor Baru.
In the day's match, coin-favoured Bangladesh team chose to field first and restricted Singapore at only 26 runs for eight wickets in the stipulated 30 overs.
Tithi Rani Sarker scalped three wickets for 11 runs while Panna Ghosh took two wickets giving away just three runs.
In response, Bangladesh eased to an emphatic victory as both the openers Salma Khatun and Panna Ghosh scored the required 27 runs in 7.3 overs.
Salma Khatun remained unbeaten on 17 off 22 balls with two fours while Panna made not out 6 facing 23 balls.
Bangladesh will face China in the 3rd and last group match on July 15 at the Perguruan Temenggong Ibrahim ground in Johor Baru.
