Sunday, 7 December 2014
The government of Bangladesh has decided to send 100 tonnes of drinking water and five desalination plants to the Maldives to address its safe water crisis caused by a fire at a water purifying plant in the Indian Ocean country. An official release has said that the Bangladesh government has come up with the help as the devastating fire in the desalination plant in Male, the capital of Maldives, stopped the supply of safe drinking water to the city. The water and the desalination plants would be transported by a Bangladesh Navy ship, the release added.
