Bangladesh suffer defeat in AFC U-16 meet

Chinese Taipei made Bangladesh to pay for their missed chances as they defeated them by 2-1 goals in the Group E encounter of the AFC Under-16, 2010 (qualifiers) held at the Pannad Stadium in the Philippines Sunday, reports BSS.
Despite Bangladesh dominating most of the proceedings, their rivals Chinese Taipei made full use of opportunity to collect full three points with a victory.
In the 14th minute Sifat shot was wide from a close range.
Chinese Taipei's Tsai hung Wei left unmarked in Bangladesh D box made no mistake to score in the 22nd (1-0).
Nasir spoilt the easiest of chances as in the 33rd minute. He had rival goalkeeper at his mercy but to the utter dismay of his teammates he shot wide from a hand shaking distance.
Finally in 35th minute, Anik Bormon cross saw Sohel heading home to make the scoreline 1-1.
Another defensive error saw Bangladesh in the 83rd minute concede a goal when unmarked Lee Meng Che scored the winning goal from an advantageous position (2-1).
Head Coach B A Zubair Nipu said " We played the match very well. But missed so many chances and that's why we failed to have the result is our favour.
