Bangladesh Taekowando team hopes to win at least two gold medals in the South Asian (SA) Games to be held in the capital on January 29-February 9, reports UNB.
Addressing at a press conference at the BOA Bhaban Tuesday, Taekowando Federation general secretary Mahmudul Islam Rana said Mizanur Rahman has a fair chance of clinching the gold medal in 87 kg category.
He said they are also optimistic about getting another gold in +87 kg category considering the recent performance of Raisul Kabir, who will compete in the event.
"The possibility of Mizan and Raisul winning gold medals is bright, but we want more medals in the remaining men's and women's events," Rana said.
At the press conference, Bangladesh Taekowando Federation announced a 10-member Taekowando team - six men and four women.
Taekowando Federation vice president Mushfiq Hossain Kamal and team coach Lee Ju Sang were present.
