Bangladesh to join UN confce on global financial crisis in Doha

The United Nations (UN) is going to organise an international conference on "financing for development" from the last week of November in Doha in a bid to find out ways to weather the global financial meltdown, officials said Tuesday.
The UN has invited the heads of the government of its all member countries including Bangladesh to attend the important high-profile four-day gathering.
The conference will be held from November 29 to December 2 in Doha of Qatar.
All the developed and developing countries will explore ways to resolve the prevailing financial downturn, food and energy security problems and the effect of climate change at the upcoming conference, a finance ministry official told the FE.
