Bangladesh to take part in int'l philatelic show in China from Apr 10

Bangladesh Post Office (BPO) will participate in the seven-day international philatelic exhibition to be held in China from April 10.
The exhibition that commemorates Hong Kong Post's participation in 'China 2009 World Stamp Exhibition' will be held in Luoyang City, Henan Province, China from April 10 to April 16.
Under the patronage of the Fédération Internationale de Philatélie (FIP) and the auspices of the Federation of Inter-Asian Philately (FIAP), the exhibition will be staged in the new hall of the Luoyang Museum. This is the second such mega event hosted by China for philatelists from home and abroad.
"It's a great opportunity to showcase Bangladesh stamps and philatelic culture to the overseas countries," Director General of BPO Mobassher ur Rahman told the FE Thursday.
He said by taking part in the exhibition, BPO will be able to introduce country's heritage and culture to the foreigners.
"We expect that BPO would be able to sell different stamps worth Tk 1.0 million at the fair," he added.
The International Federation of Philately is an international philatelic organisation, which is called FIP for short.
