Bangladesh to take part in Youth Asia Cup

Bangladesh will take part in the Youth Asia Cup Hockey, scheduled for July 11 to July 18 in Hyderabad, India, reports UNB.

The Bangladesh team will be formed with players from the BKSP as well as the national players aged under-21.

Eight teams, split into two groups, will take part in the eight-day meet.

The group A comprises hosts India, Japan, Malaysia and Singapore, while the group B consists of Pakistan, Oman, South Korea and Bangladesh.

Bangladesh, which was placed 6th in the last meet, will play their first match against South Korea on July 11, the 2nd match against Oman on July 13 and the 3rd match against Pakistan on July 14.

Meanwhile, Kazi Mainuzzaman Pila will act as the team manager for Bangladesh.
