Bangladesh U-18 team reach Kathmandu

A 30-member Bangladesh Under-18 Men's Football team reached the Nepalese capital Kathmandu safely on Wednesday morning to participate in the SAFF Under-18 Championship'2019 that will begin on Sept tomorrow (Friday) at the APF Stadium in Kathmandu, reports UNB.
Bangladesh Youth Football team, comprises of 23 booters and seven officials, left Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport at 10:30 am and reached Kathmandu at 11:30 am. They are scheduled to make their first practice session at the games venue-APF Football ground at 4 pm on Wednesday.
SAFF runners-up Bangladesh team was put in the three-team Group B along with India and Sri Lanka while Group A comprises of defending champions and hosts Nepal, Maldives, Bhutan and Pakistan.
Bangladesh team will start their campaign taking on Sri Lanka in their first match on September 21 and will play their last group match against India on September 25.
Top two teams from each group will play in the semifinals on September 27, while the winners of the semis will play the final on September 29 at APF Stadium.
Bangladesh is going to participate for the third time in the SAFF U-18 Championships, which was previously known as SAFF U-19 Championship.
