Bangladesh U-19 team beat SL by 43 runs

All round performance by Mahmudul Hasan and Tapash Ghosh enabled touring Bangladesh Under-19 team to beat Sri Lanka Under-19 side by 43 runs in a tri-nation cricket tournament at the P Sara Stadium in Colombo Monday, reports UNB.
Bangladesh opened the innings first after winning the toss and scored 204 runs for all in 48.4 overs.
Skipper Mahmudul Hasan scored the Bangladesh's second highest 32 runs off 47 balls with a boundary and later captured three wickets for 20 runs while lower order batsman Tapash Ghosh hammered 27 runs off 20 balls that featured two fours and a six and also took two wickets for 21 runs.
Besides, Ashraful Aziz contributed Bangladesh's highest 35 runs off 77 balls with three fours, Mithun Ali scored quick 27 runs off 19 balls with six fours, Nasir Hossain made 21 off 39 balls with two fours and a six while Hamidul Islam made 18 off 17 balls with two fours.
In reply, Sri Lanka Under-19 team were all out for 161 in 45.2 overs with Lokuge making 36, Thirimanne 31 and Priyanjan 29 runs.
Apart from Mahmudul Hasan's three and Tapash Ghosh's two wickets, Nasir Hossain grabbed two wickets for 26 runs while Rubel Hossain also took two for 27 runs.
