Bangladesh win bronze medal after losing to Iran

Bangladesh Women's team clinched bronze medal in the 17th Asian Games Kabaddi after losing to Iran by 15-40 points in the 2nd semifinal at the Songdo Global University Gymnasium in Incheon, South Korea on Thursday, reports UNB.
Iran, which earned six lonas and three bonus points in the semifinal against Bangladesh, will play final against India today( Friday) at the same venue.
They dominated the first half by 25-2 points with four lonas and two bonus points against Bangladesh, which bagged 13 points and four bonus points in the 2nd half.
In the days other semifinal, India beat Thailand by 41-28 points with four lonas and six bonus points to reach the final.
Earlier, on Wednesday, Bangladesh men's Kabbadi team completed their 17th Asian Games engagements on frustrating note losing all three group matches, including a frustrating 36-37 defeat against lowly-rated Thailand.
