Bangladesh wins two gold medals in SA Games Boxing

Mohammad Jewel Ahmed Jony and Mohammad Abdur Rahim brought smile for country's sports lovers as they won gold in light weight 60 kg and light welter weight 64 kg in the 11th South Asian Games boxing, reports BSS.
In the 60kg Jewel defeated Ajit Gurung of Nepal by 32-17 points in the final.
Rahim outboxed his opponent Sri Lankan opponent Sisira Kumarasinghe. India continued to hog headlines despite having a three-member boxing side, the smallest among the strong 331-member strong Indian side but Amandeep Singh (men's 48kg), Suranjoy Singh (51kg) and Chhote Lal (57kg) claimed the top honours in their respective sections to earn three gold medals.
India fielded only three in boxing but all the three returned with gold medals to end their campaign.
Amandeep Singh defeated Mohammad Aref Aref of Afghanistan for the gold medal in the light fly weight category.
Mohammad Mashur Rahman (Bangladesh) and Nadir (Pakistan) took the bronze medals.
India bagged the second gold when Suranjoy Singh defeated Mohammad Waseem of Pakistan for the top spot in flyweight. Laxman Shaut (Nepal) and Kinley (Bhutan) took the bronze medals.
Chhote Lal proved to be big for his Bangladeshi opponent Mohammad Faysal Mollah en route to the gold medal.
Saman Priyadarshan (Sri Lanka) and Khawajah Khalid (Afghanistan) took the bronze medals.
