Bangladesh, Zimbabwe teams in Ctg to play remaining two ODIs

CHITTAGONG, Dec 7 (UNB): Both the Bangladesh and Zimbabwean Cricket teams arrived in the port city of Chittagong Tuesday to play the remaining two One Day International (ODI) matches of the five-match Micromax Cup ODI series at Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium.
The Zimbabwe team reached the port city Tuesday morning and made their practices at the games venue Zohur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium from 3-5 pm while Bangladesh team, which reached Chittagong in the evening, is expected to make their practice tomorrow.
Bangladesh, which leads the five-match series 2-1, will play the 4th ODI against Zimbabwe on December 10 hoping to win the series beating their African rivals while the visitors will also try their best to level the series shocking the home side.
The 5th and last ODI match will be held on December 12 at the same venue.
After inspecting the match venue Tuesday afternoon during the team's practice session, Zimbabwean bowling coach and a star cricketer of yesteryear, Heath Streak, termed it "a slow ground."
"Our team will try its best to do better in the next two matches," he said, adding that "Captain Elton Chigumbura is expected to play the next match."
Earlier, Bangladesh took a 2-1 lead in the five-match series after beating Zimbabwe by six wickets in the 2nd ODI and by 65 runs in the 3rd ODI match, following their nine-run defeat in the first ODI .
After winning the 3rd ODI of the ongoing series in Dhaka on Monday, Bangladesh not only took lead in the five-match series, but also reached a landmark of winning 27 of their 50 ODI matches against Zimbabwe.
