Bangladeshi beaten dead by BSF

A Bangladeshi young man was allegedly beaten to death by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel in Patgram upazila in Lalmonirhat district early Thursday morning. The deceased was identified as Aminul Islam, 32, son of Abdul Latif of Ufarmara Telipara village in the upazila. Officials of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB confirmed the killing by BSF. BGB and locals said that BSF mercilessly beat Aminul Islam at border point in Patgram leaving him dead on the spot. BGB officials and police said he was beaten dead by members of 104 BSF battalion from Himkumari camp near sub-pillar No. 5 of the main pillar No. 104 when he was returning with cattle from the Indian side around 4:30am, according to UNB.
