Bangladeshi boy killed in New York road crash

A 4-year-old Bangladeshi boy was run over by a truck and killed in New York, reports bdnews24.com.
The accident took place on Thursday morning (local time) at the intersection of Central Avenue and Quail Street in Albany. Albany police said Tamim was holding his mother's hand when they were struck by a garbage truck.
News10.com quoted police officer Steve Smith as saying that the boy and his mother were walking with the green light across Central Avenue northbound.
The victim was a student at Philip J Schuyler Achievement Academy. His father Mijanur Rahman Anik runs a food shop at Alabany.
A witness blamed the truck driver for the accident.
