Bangladeshi cattle trader injured by BSF in Benapole

BENAPOLE, Feb 28 (UNB): A Bangladeshi cattle trader was mercilessly stabbed by Indian Border Security Force (BSF) at their Angrail camp opposite Putkhali border here early Monday.
BGB Putkhali camp commander Emdad Hossain said Anwar Ali (30), son of Shamsher Ali of Dighirpara village was returning home from India through the border along with cattle late at night.
BSF jawans of Angrail camp caught him after a hot chase and took him to their camp and stabbed him indiscriminately. They later left him at the border area thinking him dead.
On information, villagers rescued and admitted him to a local hospital where his condition was stated to be critical.
Earlier, BSF troops tortured mercilessly another Bangladeshi cattle trader, Mijanur Rahman, of the area Friday night.
