Bangladeshi cos urged to take part in FOBANA confce

With a view to promoting Bangladeshi companies in the American market, Federation of Bangladesh Associations in North America (FOBANA) is going to introduce a trade mission for the first time in its 24th annual conference to be held in California next July, reports UNB.
FOBANA, a non-profit cultural organization of Bangladeshi expatriates in North America, urges Bangladeshi companies and entrepreneurs to take part in the conference and learn how to do business with America. FOBANA leaders made this call on Monday at a campaign seminar introducing the first Bangladesh US Trade Mission, a feature program of FOBANA, at Purbani Hotel in Dhaka.

Nader Chowdhury, among others, addressed the seminar.
Ismail Hossain said: “We expect at least 60 Bangladeshi companies
will attend the conference which will start on July 2 at the Pasadena
Convention Centre in Pasadena, California.”
He said FOBANA has already booked 150 rooms in the Sheraton Hotel
near Pasadena Convention Centre in California for participating
Bangladeshi businessmen.
“There will be a total of 200 business booths in the conference for
businessmen from different countries including Bangladesh, Australia,
Canada and Germany.”
Some 5000 visitors are expected to visit the conference from July
2-4, 2010, Ismail added.
