Bangladeshi dies in Mecca crane collapse

One Bangladesh has been identified as a fatal victim of last Fridays’ crane collapse tragedy at the Grand Mosque in holy city of Mecca.
The deceased was Abul Kashem (45) of Karnaphuli of Chittagong, passport number BE0191586 and Haji number 0204226.
Kashem’s brother and also a Saudi expatriate Bakhtiar Mahmud told bagnlanews on Sunday morning that his brother went missing after the incident.
The hospital authorities confirmed his death Sunday early morning.
Earlier, Bangladesh consul general AKM Shahidul Karim in Jeddah confirmed the death of Abul Kashem.
An embassy official told the media that 40 Bangladeshis were injured in the accident that killed at least 107 people and injured around 200.
