Bangladeshi man beaten dead by BSF

A Bangladeshi man was beaten to death allegedly by the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) personnel at Boikari frontier village at Satkhira Sadar Upazila on Sunday. The dead is Ahad Ali, 45, son of Ujir Ali, a resident of Chhoighoria village of the Upazila. Jhaudanga union parishad (UP) chairman Rafiqul Islam said some BSF members of Koijuri camp chased a group of Bangladeshis while they were returning to Bangladesh through Boikari border appoint round 4am. At one stage, the BSF troops caught Ahad. The Indians beat him up mercilessly, leaving him dead on the spot, according to a news agency.
