Bangladeshi secures 6th position at Dubai Int\\\'l Quran contest

A Bangladeshi Qwari has secured 6th position among the top 10 places at Dubai International Holy Quran Award (Dihqa) contest on Friday night. Sources at the annual contest said Hafezul Quran Amdadullah Mohammad Tajul Islam won 6th position among the top 10 competitors in ‘Most Beautiful Recitation Contest’ category of the event. They said Sulaiman Abdulkarim Isah of Nigeria won the top position in the international Quran completion category of the Award pushing Omar Hussain Baeisa of Saudi Arabia and Mohammed Khaled Yaseen of Yemen to the 2nd and 3rd spots respectively. The other top eight winners are Abdulaziz Abdulla Alhamri of Qatar, Abdul Rahman Alshuwaie of Kuwait, Anis Ali Al Fadel of Libya, Salem El Emjad of Mauritania, Mohammed Arif of the United States and Abdul Rahman Abdullah Hasan of Bahrain, according to a news agency.
