Bangladeshi shot dead by BSF in Lalmonirhat

India's Border Security Force (BSF) personnel shot to death a Bangladesh national in Aditmari frontier of Lalmonirhat district on Thursday morning. The deceased was identified as Jamboo Mia, a cattle trader by profession. Local people said Jamboo Mia, along with a few other cattle traders were returning from India through Taluldulali border of Aditmari upazila early in the morning. A group of BSF troops challenged them, and at one stage opened fire on them, leaving Jamboo dead on the spot. His companions managed to flee, according to a news agency.
