Bangladeshi shot dead in S Africa

A Bangladeshi trader was shot dead in Johannesburg, South Africa, early Friday. Abdur Rahim Babul (30), who hailed from Khasirband village of Bianibazar Upazila was shot dead by extortionists while returning to his residence from the shop at about 2am Friday, his father Rahmat Ali said. Rahim had gone to Johannesburg 18 months ago and was running a shop. Extortionists often forced him to pay tolls. He was shot dead as he refused to pay Friday. Arrangements are being made to bring back home the body of Rahim.
