Bangladeshis held in Malaysia to be deported

Illegal immigrants from Bangladesh held in Malaysia during the latest crackdown will have to return home at their own expense.
Malaysia has already started the deportation process, Montu Kumar Biswas, labour councillor in the Bangladesh embassy, Kuala Lumpur, told bdnews24.com Monday. He said a total of 275 Bangladeshis had been detained till Saturday in the Malaysian crackdown. “The Malaysian government has started sending travel permits to our embassy,” Biswas said. He said the illegal immigrants would be deported to Bangladesh soon. “They will not be fined but will have to bear their homeward travel cost,” he said.
