Tuesday, 29 July 2008

Bangladesh's new Ambassador to UAE Nazmul Quaunine urged Bangladeshi workers in UAE to abide by local rules and regulations to uphold a positive image of Bangladesh, reports UNB.

Quaunine visited Janata Bank head office and branch office in Abu Dhabi to see the activities of the bank and met Bangladeshi workers who came to the bank to send money to Bangladesh.

The ambassador enquired about the workers' welfare or any difficulties they faced in sending remittance through official channels and receiving consular services from the Bangladesh embassy.

He urged the workers to send their money through official channels as this would help development activities of the country as well as enable them to apply for special citizen's facilities.

The ambassador also urged the bank officials to further improve their existing good services and extend more facilities to the workers for easing the process of sending remittance as well as delivery of their money at Bangladesh end.

Quaunine has also addressed more than 200 Bangladeshi small entrepreneurs who are owners of various kinds of vehicle workshops in Musaffa, located in the suburb of Abu Dhabi last Friday. He appreciated the hard works of the Bangladeshi small entrepreneurs who have established their businesses over the years in the transport workshop sector.

The ambassador praised them for recruiting Bangladesh workers in their workshops. He assured them of all kinds of cooperation from the embassy.
