Banglalink executive stabbed, robbed of Tk 0. 4m in Sylhet

SYLHET, Aug 15 (UNB): Muggers stabbed an executive of mobile phone operator of Banglalink and took away Tk 0.4 million from him at Laskal Bridge in Companiganj upazila on Thursday.
The victim was identified as Ataur Rahman, a sales executive of mobile phone company Banglalink and son of Samsul Huda of Turukhala in Dakkhin Surma upazila.
Sources said at least 8-10 hoodlums intercepted Ataur when he reached Laskal Bridge near Thana Bazar area while returning to Sylhet office from Tukerbazar by a CNG-run auto-rickshaw around 3pm.
Later, they hit him with a sharp weapon and snatched away the money kept in a bag.
The muggers then left the place by an engine-run boat.
