Banglalink idea contest ends

The grand finale of Banglalink Grandmaster - idea contest, season 3, was held at a city hotel on Sunday, said a press statement.
'Maverick' from CUET became the champion team and won Tk 0.2 million, while 'Dementors' from Jahangirnagar University, IBA and 'Hufflepufs' from Dhaka University, IBA became first runner up and second runner up teams and won Tk 0.15 million and Tk 0.1 million respectively.
Out of a total registered over 1200 teams, top five teams had been selected for the finale for which they've been given training by Banglalink experts on developing mobile applications.
The jury panel includes Prof Dr Mohammad Kaykobad, Computer Science and Engineering Department of BUET, Prof Dr Abdul Hannan Chowdhury, Executive Director of External Affairs of North South University, Prof Dr Mohammad Musa, Dean of School of Business & Economics of United International University, Prof Mamun Rashid, Vice Chairman of Financial Excellence Limited, and Dr Sarwar Uddin Ahmed, Dean of School of Business, Independent University Bangladesh.
