Banglalink launches 3G service in Rangpur

Banglalink, the country's 2nd largest telecom operator, commercially launched Sunday its 3G service in Rangpur with a view to providing its clients with high-speed internet services.
Marking the event, the mobile operator organised a colourful procession with the participation of people from all walks of life which started from the Rangpur Zila School, a media release said.
Rangpur City Corporation Mayor Shorfuddin Ahmed attended the ceremony as the chief guest.
Among others, Additional Deputy Inspector General (DIG), Rangpur Humaun Kabir and Banglalink Regional Sales Managers Ahmed Shamsul Huda and Musfiq Us Salahin were present on the occasion.
The company started its commercial 3G journey from October, 2013. Within a short time, the operator has commercially launched the 3G in the key areas of Dhaka, Chittagong, Khulna, Narayanganj, Sylhet, Mymensingh, Tangail, Barisal and Bogra.
Speaking on the occasion, Ahmed Shamsul Huda said, "Banglalink has always been at the forefront of telecommunication technology in Bangladesh. To render a better service, we are launching 3G services in Rangpur reiterating our commitment to customers".
The company also offers 3G enabled contents such as local radio apps, audio streaming and video streaming services, along with some useful mobile portals to its customers.
