Banglalink to organise tourism programme

Banglalink has chalked out a three-day programme titled 'Banglalink Sagar Utshob' to woo local and foreign tourists to visit Sidr affected Kuakata sea-beach.
The Kuakata Hotel, Motel and Resort Owners Association (KHMROA) and Banglalink are jointly organizing the tourism promotion programme.
"Kuakata has the potential to be one of the premium tourist destinations of the country," said the Vice President of the KHMROA Mostafa Shiblee while announcing the tourism programme at a press conference held at the Dhaka Reporters Unity office Sunday.
He said the aim of the programme is to increase the number of local and foreign tourists and provide necessary information to them about the facilities available.
Deputy Commissioner of Patuakhali, A G M Mir Moshiur Rahman will inaugurate the three-day festival at Kuakata sea-beach on 26 March.
During the three-day festival, there will be cultural programme like Shagor mela, Bar-B-Q, Rakhain cultural presentations by local indigenous groups and a discussion seminar celebrating the independence day of the country.
The hotels, motels and resorts of the region will arrange special accommodation facilities for tourists especially for youths arriving from all over the country.
