Banglalink to pay remittance to EBL clients

Banglalink has signed an agreement with Eastern Bank Ltd (EBL) on mobile based remittance service in the city recently, said a press release.
Ahmed Abou Doma, CEO and managing director of Banglalink, and his Eastern Bank Ltd counterpart Ali Reza Iftekhar signed the agreement on behalf of their organisations.
Other EBL officials present at the signing ceremony were Mamoon Mahmood Shah, deputy managing director (DMD), consumer and SME banking, Muklesur Rahman, DMD operations, M Fakhrul Alam, DMD corporate banking, SM Akhtaruzzaman Chowdhury, head of Service Delivery and Nazeem A Choudhury, head of marketing.
Asher Yaqub Khan, CCO, Shihab Ahmad, marketing director, Solaiman Alam, head of public relations and communications and M-Commerce, and KM Zakaria, head of treasury, of Banglalink were present at the signing ceremony.
As per the agreement, selected Banglalink distribution outlets will be used as 'Remittance Disbursement Cash Points' for the remittance sourced through EBL.
Expatriates will be able to send remittance through this easy, convenient and secured channel with access to a large number of cash points.
If the beneficiaries have Banglalink mobile connections, they will be able to open banglalink- Eastern bank mobile wallet accounts from any of the Banglalink cash points by submitting necessary identity proof documents.
Mobile wallet account holders can receive the remittance directly in their banglalink-Eastern bank mobile wallet account.
