Bank Asia donates Tk 2m to Islamia Eye Hospital

In an effort to enhance eye treatment facilities for the country's ultra poor, Bank Asia has donated Tk 2.0 million (Tk 20 lakh) to Islamia Eye Hospital for construction of a ward, reports UNB.
In addition, Muslim Commercial Bank of Pakistan has also donated Tk 0.6 million for the same purpose, according to a press release Tuesday.
Chairman of Bank Asia Anisur Rahman Sinha and President and Managing Director Syed Anisul Huq handed over both the cheques to Adviser of Islamia Eye Hospital Zahida Ispahani at a simple ceremony at the hospital on the day.
Directors and senior executives of the bank and the hospital were present at the function.
