The annual conference-'08 of Bank Asia was held at a city hotel Friday.
Chairman of the bank M Syeduzzaman inaugurated the conference, while vice chairmen A Rouf Chowdhury and Arifur Rahman Sinha, Director M Shamsul Alam and President and Managing Director Syed Anisul Haque were present on the occasion.
Senior management personnel, branch managers and employees of all levels of the bank participated in the programme.
The performance of the bank for 2007 was evaluated and the business plan for the current year was adopted after taking into account the growing competitive environment both locally and globally.
Branch managers were advised to ensure continuous improvement of their services and to gradually increase retail and SME banking by capitalising on the strong IT platform of the bank to maintain competitive edge in the industry.
