Bank Asia opens WU service at all its branches

Bank Asia has launched Western Union (WU) services at all of its branches across the country through a ceremony held at a city hotel recently, said a press release.
BURO Bangladesh, an NGO (non government organisation), has also joined hands with Bank Asia to distribute the wage earners' money through their branches.
Under the arrangement, the non-resident Bangladeshis (NRBs) living abroad can send their money to Bangladesh and beneficiaries can receive the money instantly from any branch of Bank Asia and over 100 rural and semi-urban branches of BURO Bangladesh.
President and Managing Director of Bank Asia Ltd Sayed Anisul Huq was present at the launching ceremony as the chief guest.
Executive Director of BURO Bangladesh Zakir Hossain and its Deputy Managing Director Erfanuddin Ahmed were also present on the occasion.
