Bank Asia raises Tk 840m loan for power plant

A syndicated loan signing ceremony was held at a city hotel recently concerning the Syndicate Financing of GBB Power Limited.
Bank Asia Limited successfully raised Tk 840 million syndicated facility for GBB Power as the lead arranger of the syndicate.
Trust Bank acted as the co-arranger in the syndicate. Along with them eight other local banks were involved in the deal.
They are Uttara Bank Limited, IFIC Bank Limited, United Commercial Bank Limited, Dhaka Bank Limited, NCC Bank Limited, Premier Bank Limited, Mutual Trust Bank Limited and Bangladesh Commerce Bank Limited.
The syndicate was unanimous on the point that the syndicate loan will be utilised for setting up a 20 megawatt power plant at Bogra with an estimated project cost of Tk 1,200 million.
Bank Asia President and Managing Director Syed Anisul Huq, Iqbal U Ahmed and MDs and consultants of other banks signed on behalf of their respective organisations towards the closing of the syndicated financing of GBB Power Limited.
