Bank branches at customs stations to remain open July 25, 26, 28

Branches of different scheduled banks will remain open at customs stations in Dhaka, Chittagong and Benapole on July 25, 26 and 28 before Eid-ul-Fitr. A Bangladesh Bank circular, issued on Tuesday, said the bank managements have been advised to take necessary measures to facilitate operation of their concerned branches. It mentioned that at the request of BGMEA, the National Board of Revenue (NBR) has taken a decision to keep open its customs stations at Dhaka, Chittagong, Benapole and ICD Kamalapur in Dhaka on July 25, 26 and 27. Therefore, for the sake of continuation of the export business of the apparel industries, the concerned branches of the scheduled banks will remain open on these days, according to UNB.
