Bank of Ceylon staff get training on Islamic banking

The four-day workshop on "Practice of Islamic Banking" for the officers of the Bank of Ceylon, Sri Lanka organised by the Islami Bank Training and Research Academy (IBTRA), concluded recently in the city.
Chairman of Board of Directors of Islami Bank Bangladesh Limited (IBBL) Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher was present in the function as the chief guest. Executive President of the bank M Fariduddin Ahmad presided over the function. Deputy executive presidents and top executives of the bank were also present, among others.
A four-member delegation led by Chief Legal Officer and Deputy CEO of Bank of Ceylon, M Kiridaran, participated in the workshop.
On the other hand, a meeting of the Board of Directors of IBBL was held in its board room the same day. IBBL Chairman Abu Nasser Muhammad Abduz Zaher presided over the meeting.
Yousif Abdullah Al-Rajhi, representative of Al-Rajhi Co, representative of Islamic Development Bank (KSA) Wasim Ahmed, representative of Kuwait Awqaf Ahmed Mohammed Tham were also present in the meeting.
