Bankers emphasise enhancing CSR for health, edn sectors

Country's top bankers Saturday put emphasis on enhancing corporate social responsibility (CSR) especially for health and education sectors. The banking sector will always stand by the distressed people, providing them with basic things and all-out support for survival, they said. The bankers were speaking at the 'Reception of Brilliant Students, Distribution of Clothes and Bankers' Forum Performance and CSR Awards 2009-2010' held at the CIRDAP auditorium in the city. Bankers' Forum, an association of the bankers of the country, organised the event with President of the Forum MA Khaleque in the chair. While speaking as the chief guest in the programme, senior advocate of the Supreme Court and Chairman of Dhaka Ahsania Mission Barrister Rafique-Ul-Huq said the country's banking sector is playing an important role in carrying out social responsibility and offering various kinds of services.
