Banking professional exams begin

The Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh (IBB) has sought cooperation of all concerned to conduct the banking professional examinations on June 3 and 10 in a fair and orderly environment.
It said the 96th Banking Professional Examination of the IBB was held in all divisional cities, including 8 centers in Dhaka metropolitan city, on May 27 in a fair and orderly environment, said a press release.
The statement also said the IBB authorities highly appreciate the sincere cooperation of the chief executive, center chairman, center secretaries, college authorities, administration, examinees and officials concerned of all banks/financial institutions for successfully conducting the examination.
Sharing details about the recently held banking professional examination under Junior Associate of Institute of Bankers, Bangladesh (JAIBB) phase, it said a total of 26,591 candidates in Monetary and Financial System (MAFS), 25,555 candidates in Governance in Financial Institutions (GFFI), 7,562 candidates in AIBB phase Risk Management in Financial Institutions (RMFI) and 8,205 aspirants in Credit Operations and Management (COM) participated.
Of the participants, 18 (eighteen) candidates were expelled due to misbehaviour/misconduct. The expelled participants won't be able to take part in other subjects of the 96th examination and banking professional examinations for the next three years.
A letter has already been sent to the chief executive of the institution concerned to take appropriate disciplinary action against them, the press release added.
