Banks’ donation to PM Relief Fund

Mercantile Bank Limited donated an amount of Taka 50 million to the Prime Minister's Relief Fund to fight coronavirus.
The move was initiated as a part of Mercantile Bank's CSR activities to Prime Minister's activities to prevent the pandemic.
Mercantile Bank's authority handed over the cheque to Bangladesh Association of Bank's (BAB) on Tuesday.

Prime Bank
Prime Bank Limited has come forward to assist the government in intensifying its prevention and cure efforts against Coronavirus outbreak.

The bank has already contributed BDT 50 million to Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund as part of joint initiative of member banks of Bangladesh Association of Banks (BAB).
The donation will be utilized to procure Personal Protective Equipment, Testing Kit, Respiratory Equipment and also to stand beside the less fortunate people of the society whose livelihoods have been affected by the countrywide lockdown.
Commenting on the initiative, Rahel Ahmed, Managing Director and CEO, Prime Bank, said: "Prime Bank has been undertaking a number of initiatives to ensure safety and wellbeing of the valued customers, our employees and community since the outbreak. Now we have joined hands with the government in fight against the global pandemic. We believe this token support to Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund will go a long way to save valuable lives, ensure safety of the frontline doctors and nurses and help the underprivileged people at this trying time."

Standard Bank
Standard Bank Limited has donated Taka 50 million to the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund to help fight the outbreak of coronavirus. The bank handed over the money to the Prime Minister's Relief and Welfare Fund through Bangladesh Association of Banks (BAB) on Tuesday.


BRAC Bank
BRAC Bank has made a contribution of Tk 50 million to Prime Minister's relief fund. The bank handed over a cheque through Bangladesh Association of Banks as their support to government for the ongoing battle against the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

Midland Bank
As part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), Midland Bank Limited (MDB) donated BDT 2.0 million to Prime Minister's Relief Fund" on Tuesday.
The Bank has contributed this money for sourcing/procurement of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), Corona virus Testing Kit and Respiratory equipment supplying for the affected people and also to conduct relief operations for the marginal people of the country, who became jobless due to prolonged holiday/lockdown.
