Banks\\\' expenditure for CSR activities rising

Expenditure of all banks for CSR (Corporate Social Responsibilities) activities witnessed a significant rise in 2013 despite a downturn in their overall earnings. During the calendar year 2013, expenditure of banks increased by 46.56 per cent to Tk 4.47 billion (447 crore) from Tk 3.05 billion in 2012, according to the latest data of Bangladesh Bank (BB). — BSS
