Banks in factory belts open today

Bank branches in Bangladesh’s industrial belts have opened on Saturday morning to facilitate the payment of salaries and allowances by readymade garment (RMG) factories to their employees before Eid-ul-Azha. The central bank, in a circular, has instructed the scheduled banks to keep their branches open from 10am to 1pm in RMG factory-dominated areas of Dhaka, Ashulia, Tongi, Gazipur, Savar and Chittagong, according to a news agency.
