Banks open today after 3-day Eid holidays

All the scheduled banks will open today (Monday) after a three-day official holiday for Holy Eid-ul-Fitr. The banks remained closed for straight three days from July 17 (Friday). Earlier, the banks remained closed on July 15 (Wednesday) for Holy Shab-e-Qadr (Ramadan 27) and reopened on Thursday before going to the three-day Eid holiday from Friday. Nationalised commercial banks, other scheduled banks and financial institutions will remain open from 9:00am to 5:00pm everyday except Friday and Saturday and transactions will be done from 9:30am to 3:00pm, according to a news agency.
