KARACHI, Sep 27 (Reuters): Pakistan paceman Mohammad Asif has been given permission to play in a private club tournament although he remains suspended after testing positive for the steroid nandrolone in the Indian Premier League (IPL).
A Pakistan Cricket Board spokesman said the ban applied only to events organised by the board.
Asif is due to plead his case before the IPL's drugs inquiry tribunal.
