BAPLC holds 26th AGM

The 26th annual general meeting (AGM) of the Bangladesh Association of Publicly Listed Companies (BAPLC) -- the apex body of the companies listed on the Stock Exchanges -- was held recently at Renaissance Hotel, Gulshan, in the capital.
Rupali Haque Chowdhury, president of the association, presided over the meeting, according to a press release.
The AGM was commenced with the recitation from the holy Quran. There was a question and answer session at the AGM. Participating members asked questions which were answered by the executive committee.
Executive Committee members Abdullah Al Mahmud, managing director, Hamid Fabrics; Syed Farhad Ahmed, managing director & CEO, Aamra Networks; Md. Kyser Hamid, managing director & CEO, Bangladesh Finance PLC; Adib Hossain Babul, director, National Feed Mill; Zeyad Rahman, director, Delta Life Ins. Co.; Md. Sharif Hasan, company secretary, Unique Hotel & Resorts; members of the newly elected executive committee, representatives of listed companies, and Md. Amzad Hossain, secretary general, were also present at the AGM.
