Barapukuria Power Plant unit-1 resumes generation

DINAJPUR, May 23, 2025 (BSS): Unit-1 of 525 MW Barapukuria Thermal Power Plant has resumed generation after two days of closure, official said on Friday.
The 125-MW unit resumed generation at 12 noon after necessary maintenance, and it started power supply to the national grid from 2 pm, said chief engineer of the plant, Abu Bakkar Siddiqui.
The unit is producing 70 to 75 MW power below to its 125 MW capacity, he added.
