BARF forms new EC

A 17-member executive committee (EC) of Bangladesh Agricultural Reporters' Forum (BARF) has recently been formed for 2011-13, according to a press statement. Staff correspondent of Daily Samakal Altab Hossain, senior reporter of Daily Kaler Kahtha Shafiqul Islam Jewel and Shafiqul Islam of Dainik Destiny have been elected president, general secretary and treasurer of the forum respectively. The EC election of the BARF was held at its annual general meeting at the Agriculture Information Service (AIS) conference room in the city. Other office-bearers of the EC are vice-president -- Kamrul Hasan Bayezid (Boishakhi Television), joint secretary -- Mostofa Mallik (Channel i), organising secretary -- Khadimul Islam Hridoy (New Age), research secretary -- Nizamul Haque (Ittefaq), communication secretary -- Sushanta Sinha (ATN News), publication secretary -- Hafizur Rahman Nobuat (ATN Bangla), public welfare secretary -- Haralal Roy Sagar (Bangladesh Somoy), publicity secretary -- Khorshed Alam Jewel (Farm House) and office secretary -- Ratan Balo (The Daily Sangbad), and members -- Rezaul Karim Siddique (BTV), Obaidul Gani (BSS) and Mithun Mahfuz (Amader Somoy).
